Mother Wrongfully Convicted of Killing Son Freed After 14 Years in Jail
...Tammy Marquardt was one of several parents convicted of killing their children based on the testimony of Charles Smith, once considered Canada's leading pediatric pathologist. The Ontario government has found Smith actually had little expertise, rarely visited crime scenes and had sloppy work practices...

Don't you all feel safer now? I have had people tell me that I have a dark imagination. That i am pessimistic, that my villains are terrible and chilling people. But to me, I think my writing is pretty darn tame compared to some of what I read every day in the news.

Fourteen years in a cage for murdering her own child. She walked in and found her precious baby boy dead. Then, this incompetent bureaucrat arbitrarily decided that he could not be bothered to do his job so she was sent to prison for murdering her baby boy. And the bastard didn't care. Now he is busted and admitting it to a judge. And he still hasn't been punished in any way, nor is he likely to be. And she still hasn't been vindicated. She is out on bail, awaiting a hearing where she will be given a chance at a new trial. I could never write a villain that evil. I don't have it in me. Could any of you?
